SHARE THE JOURNEY
If you wish to connect with other trainees going from Copenhagen Airport or Malmö on the arrival day, let us know and we’re happy to put you in touch. Please send us your flight number, time of arrival and your phone number. We find that WhatsApp works really well for connecting internationally, so please install it if you are not already using it.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
There are hourly trains straight from Copenhagen Airport (departing at XX.42 each hour) via Malmö that stop at our little station, which is called Båstad (takes just under 2 hours). From the arrivals terminal, catch a Sweden bound Öresundståg train with the final destination Gothenburg (this is important!). Make sure you buy a ticket in a machine or the app Skånetrafiken before getting on the train. To make it on time, we advise that you try to catch the 12.42 train at the latest. We’ll arrange for a free pick up at the train station in Båstad.

VALLÅSENS VÄRDSHUS & VÅXTORP
The venue is located 1 km from a small village called Våxtorp. The village has a grocery store and some other basics. The surroundings are forests and nature with trails that are perfect for a little stroll or a run. Vallåsens Värdshus is a laid-back place, with lounges and a guest kitchen where you can make a cup of tea or keep your own little secret chocolate stash if needed. All bed linen and towels are included, as well as bathroom basics like soap and schampoo. There’s a sauna free to use whenever you like. The location is about 20 minutes from the coast, which could be a nice direction to go on our self-study days. Please note that we are not the exclusive guests at all times at this venue. We schedule our program as best we can to minimise interaction with other guests in order to remain in our bubble.

Good to know
COVID-19
Vaccination rates in Sweden are high, and even though Covid is still around, Sweden is removing restrictions gradually. There is no quarantine requirements and face mask is recommended only in commuter time public transportation. If you travel by air to Copenhagen you may need a test, depending on where you are travelling from. Please look into this well ahead of time. Regarding entry into Sweden please let us know if you need a document verifying that you will be studying here (may be the case if you are travelling from outside EU). For the sake of efficiency and safety in our training group, we ask that you take all the precautions necessary to stay healthy and un-infected as we approach September 10. We also ask that you are either vaccinated or that you take a quick test before arrival so we can all feel safe and get going right away. Let us know if you have any questions about this.
MONEY
Sweden is a very digitised country, and you won’t have to worry about cash. In fact, you’ll find that many businesses don’t even accept cash anymore. Any credit card or bank card will be all you need, even for small purchases. If you like to carry some cash, the currency is SEK, exchange rate roughly 10 SEK to 1 euro.
WIFI + USE OF CELLPHONE
Free Wifi is available at Vallåsens Värdshus in all parts of the venue. There’s good cell reception as well.
This being said, we highly recommend you DISCONNECT as much as possible during these three weeks. Try to minimise your time on the internet/social media to immerse yourself fully into the training. It’s quite a rare opportunity to have this amount of time to yourself, so make the most out of it!
ELECTRICITY
Sweden has 220 volts and a plug that has two round pins (type C).
LAUNDRY
You’ll be able to do laundry during your stay for a small fee, more information onsite.
WEATHER
Temperature will most likely be between 13-20 degrees celsius. Make sure to bring some warm clothes for early mornings and the evenings, as well as a light rain jacket.
FOOD
All the meals served during the training will be vegetarian. NOTE: If you have any food allergies, please let us know as soon as possible. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in your stay. Soft drinks + beer/wine are not included but available. Coffee/tea and snacks beyond meal times are not included but available.
WATER
Tap water is high quality and good to drink in Sweden. Please bring a REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE for your stay. If you like to have coffee/tea available throughout the day, please bring a small thermos as well.
THERAPIES/MASSAGES
As you’ll be practising A LOT (most likely much more than you usually do) you might want to book yourself a body work/massage session. There isn’t much spare time as we have a lot to cover during the training, but there will be some self study time / days where it will be possible, as well as in the evenings before/after dinner. You’ll get more information about the different therapies offered as you arrive.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Let us know if you DO NOT want to be in pictures intended for social media and our future marketing.
