Pre-training work |
Welcome to your upcoming training in the Alps!
We have a lot of work to do onsite. In order to prepare and maximise our time together, we ask you to do some pre-training work. Please note, when we dive into branding it gets personal – it has to. Don't be afraid to be honest. Be prepared to share with others but know that we are a safe space and that everything shared is confidential within the group.
This is what we want you to do:
1. Think and Write. Download the files attached called "Pre-training TNV 50hr" below. Print or use digitally, whatever you prefer. Bring your answers to the training. We will use this to build upon onsite.
2. Read and Take Notes. Download the files attached called "Sequencing Chapter" below. This is a few pages from our Vinyasa YTT 200hr manual that we would like you to be familiar with before we meet. We'll go through it onsite as well, so please take note if you have any questions at all.
3. Observe and Analyze. Take 2 different vinyasa flow classes with different teachers, live or online. Be a student in the class but also pay attention and observe in detail how the class is sequenced (planned and organised). Write what the name of the class was and how long it was. Take notes after the class and answer the questions below, simply drawing from your own experience. Bring notes to training and be prepared to share with the group.
a/ What were 3 things that you liked about the class in regards to sequencing?
b/ What were 3 things that you liked less or that confused you about the class in regards to sequencing?
c/ What other sequencing observations did you make? What stood out?
