COVID-19 UPDATE FOR SWEDEN
Date of update: August 2, 2020
Written by Elin, who lives about 30 minutes from the training venue
The situation in Southern Sweden: There are no travel restrictions within Sweden. Domestic flights have started running a little, and trains have found solutions to distancing people. Everything is open, but running a little differently. My yoga studio for example, can fit 24 students but at the moment we limit groups to 12. People are encouraged to wash their hands, stay at home with any symptoms and to keep a 1-2 meter social distance when out in public. People who are over 70 or at high risk are told to stay home as much as possible. There is a ban on gatherings larger than 50 people. Some people wear masks but there are no laws or regulations on this except for in airports/on flights.
The number of cases in Sweden are going down and only local cluster flare-ups, as everywhere, seems to be an issue. Southern Sweden (we are about 7 hours by car from Stockholm, which had a spread in spring) never had a lot of cases and especially not in the countryside where this training is located. Only a few weeks ago Sweden was red listed by some countries, but this has now changed.

Travelling to Sweden: If you are travelling from the EU, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland or the UK, you'll be granted entry to Sweden. There is no quarantine enforcement upon arrival. The latest travel information is here ››
Flying into Denmark: Copenhagen airport (in Denmark) is the closest international airport for this training. If you are a EU or Schengen citizen you'll be allowed to transit to Sweden. From the airport, there is a direct train to Sweden, so there is no need to worry about entry permit to Denmark. Please do your own research as well, since there are a lot of variation as to where you live, what your citizenship is, etc. Latest on entering Denmark is here ››
